Main Branch Update - October 29, 2018

Hello everyone! The beta is in a stable spot at the moment, so it's time to move some features over to the main branch!

As always, I'd love to hear your feedback, either over on the Steam forums, on Reddit (where I'm u/fyian), or directly at my email address at [email protected]. The game is still in Early Access so anything and everything on the main branch is still subject to change based on your feedback. If you want to receive frequent (but less tested) updates with cutting edges changes that I'm testing out, please opt into the game's beta branch through Steam.

New Difficulty Progression System

Difficulty levels have been added when selecting an opponent, and round requirements get longer as you fight your way through the roster. Defeat an opponent at a certain difficulty in order to unlock that difficulty for the next opponent. "Normal" difficulty is closest to what was already in place before, except it has been made slightly easier. "Challenger" should be a nice step up for those that have mastered "Normal", and "Champion" will be an over-the-top challenge for even the best players.

Longer term players will still likely want to use the customize menu to dial in opponents exactly where they want for their routine, and to set the round options as needed.

New Equipment: Focus Ball

The focus ball that has been visible in the corner of the gym for ages is now functional! Land consecutive hits on the ball to build up a hit streak, and let the ball brush past your face without getting hit to increase your dodge streak.

Improved Opponent Spacing

Opponents will no longer walk past your gloves if you hold your hands out. This helps with situations where players would lean back, but the AI would think they took a step back and would walk forward to follow.

Custom Glove and Gear

Players can now override the image applied to their gloves and gear and provide their own designs. Open the game's install directory and look at the readme file in "game_Data/StreamingAssets/CustomGear" for details.

Custom Music

A radio has been added to the gym, and you can now have your own custom music play from it. Open the game's install directory and look at the readme file in "game_Data/StreamingAssets/Music" for details, but basically you'll just convert your music to .OGG files and drop them in that folder. You can control the radio and crowd volume through new options in the in-game Settings menu.

And more!

There have been a ton of performance, combat balance, visual polish, and quality of life changes as well. You can get more specific details by checking out the change logs that have been posted for the beta branch over the last few months.

Thanks, everyone! New opponents are coming very soon!
