To start off progress reports on 0.7, I'd like to cover Splitscreen and what has recently changed regarding it. This isn't going to be a huge announcement since it's focused on a more specific feature, but I think it's exciting for the future of the game for local play.
Fixes
So first things first, inputs in the game are now run through a wrapper that automatically handles the distinction between singleplayer and splitscreen and which player is doing what for each ship. This will ensure that in the future anything new that requires user input will be handled correctly, as anyone who has played splitscreen has likely came across a few input problems.
Next up is that the game now renders a seperate ship for each player, what this means is that if your friend is in cockpit view then in your view you'll see their ship and not the cockpit model floating in space.
Finally for fixes, the countdown displays are now rendered specific for each player and will show you information based on your race position instead of whoever is player 1.
Multi-monitor support
This has been mentioned a couple of times by a few people and I'm excited to announce that 0.7 has support for rendering each player on two seperate monitors! Here's a video of it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjsjdX0e7UU
That's it for now. Next progress report will be covering new content in the update, there's going to be track updates and plenty of extra goodies for people to play with!
