Hello,
Huh, it's been a long time since the last news. Only game updates and changelogs 😊 Will you believe that our team consists of only a few people?
Whatever! We are moving forward. We change things basing on your suggestions and ideas. In one word - you are a great community.
Today you will not have much to read, but I hope you will find some interesting things here.
Fish population
As you know, after yesterday's update there were a lot of posts about the amount of fish in the game. I would like to tell you a little about it.
Ultimate Fishing Simulator was released in the early access mode, which is associated with limited amount of content in the game. One of these things are fish species. The maps in the game were created for a larger number of fish species present in a given fishery (not applicable to Betty Lake). Unfortunately, not all fish (about 50% of species) were introduced to the game. Many of them are in the development, and some of them exist only on paper.
As a result, there was a population disruption on some of the maps. One of such maps is Pinas Bay. We have created this map for fishing in open water. Ultimately, there were to be smaller fish in the bay, and their 'adult' / 'large' specimens in open waters. Due to the fact that we did not have all fish species introduced, we did not make this division at EA release.
It was introduced in update 0.2.1:140, but we forgot about the lack of other fish species and this caused a small confusion. So when we moved large fish mainly to open water, there was a shortage of fish in the bay! Oops! Therefore, we decided to introduce the following rule:
- until all fish species are introduced on the map, the current fish species population will be increased.
When we will add new fish species, the population of each species will be properly balanced.
Next week we plan to introduce 2 new fish species on Pinas Bay. Below is a tip for one of them! What fish is this?
Road Map
As you can see, we try to fix all bugs/problems/error that you report and release at least one patch per day. Unfortunately, currently most of our small team is working on improvements to the game. Therefore, the dates given on the road map are postponed. For now, about 2-3 weeks. It all depends on how quickly we will deal with the next updates. Hope you will understand this.
Next week
Next week we will focus on fixing the next bugs related with fishing rod (helicopter) and the behavior of the fish. In addition, we will work on new equipment durability and drag system. It will be a busy week. You should find out everything on Monday :)
Fish Feedback
Oops, I think I have small delays ... by the end of the week I should complete the subforum related to fish species and equipment. We count on your experience and support.
Well! That's probably all. Tight lines!
Kind Regards,
Rafał Jelonek – Product Manager
