Happy Holidays...and Ongoing Development!

Hello, patient FreeHolder players! We here at RogueWare would like to apologize for the lack of communication we inflicted upon our fanbase throughout October and November. Being an indie developer on a shoestring budget can engender a number of disappointments, and I assure you, no one is more disappointed than I am that we dropped the ball and left many of you wondering whether we had vanished into the ether.

Perish the thought.

There are a number of reasons why development has been delayed, and why we've had to confront real-life on a full-time basis over the last few months, but I know you are not interested in hearing excuses, nor are we interested in giving them. You just want to know that FreeHolder is chugging along, and that your initial investment in our game is still in the process of paying off.

I assure you it is.

I've squared away massive chunks of time in December in order to get, into your hands, the 3rd alpha including the mid-section of the game that has been in my head for oh-so-many years. You will be seeing this happen before the Winter Sale on Steam. I pledge my honor as a scholar and a gentleman upon it.

We will restore the fast and easy correspondence that we have had on the forums until recently, and apologize for our inexcusable lack of presence there. I only hope that you can extend your understanding and forgiveness towards a two-person software company founded more on dreams than scads of operating capital. We fly by the seat of our pants, or we don't fly at all.

FreeHolder is my brainchild, and nothing will stop the karma of this project from bearing the fruit that we all envision. The faith you have displayed with your initial purchase of FreeHolder means the absolute world to me. You all have given me much reason to hope, and I will endeavor to repay you with all my being.

Stay tuned, ladies and gentlemen. Stay tuned. And thank you.
