HI GUYS!
Exciting news, I'm getting HYPED and cannot wait to play these modes with some of you!
Now for Standing VR we have two different game modes (more to come very soon)
-Deathmatch (play with bots, or play online)
-Project Holo (horde like AI co-op, play by yourself or with a friend, this mode is in very early stages)
I have been spending quite a lot of time getting this good, and i think it is ready enough now for people to start playing as early access.
I have created a unique movement system that i feel works very well and is suited for this style game.
The systems this includes:
Movement within roomscale is translated to very small movements in game.
Hold down "Left Trigger" for move mode, aim both controllers in the direction you wish to go. This works by getting a direction from both controllers, and working out which way to go, the further away the controllers get from each other, the slower you will go. This forces the player to actually turn around if they wish to turn around, and makes movement much more involved and fun. You have a fine control over your speed with the distance you are holding the controllers away from your body.
Crouching works like it would in real-life. Project Holo maps will be designed with lots of options for cover.
and finally, the Dash. Aim the dash like a teleport, and receive a quick boost in this direction. (very very quick)
This boost uses up a new energy scale. You spawn with 100 energy, each dash uses 25 energy, and the energy is regenerated at the rate of 1 unit per second, so use your dash wisely.
I hope i have been able to explain this in a way that you can understand, i will try and get a video up shortly. In the meantime here is a picture that might make more sense.
