Patch notes 12/07/2016 and Project Holo CO-OP notes

Hi Guys,

I would just like to take a brief moment to discuss some various things, such as the Project Holo gameplay mode that i have included.

It is in quite early stages and much more experimental than the multiplayer sections of the game (The AI is not the best!), but this mode is here as a CO-OP online multiplayer wave shooter mode.
There are some bugs if played in co-op where the character that is not the host does not see some of the UI notifications, but all of the actual gameplay stuff works sweet as in co-op. Hiding behind cover, ducking, gunplay, teleporting, all off the good stuff, you can even start a match using any of the supplied mutators.

IK / Character Animations:
No one has asked about this but i figured it was worth mentioning, and discussing how this is implemented currently.
Your head movement is tracked, and this movement is replicated across the network. Its pretty creepy having people look at you! almost surreal.
The hand IK is something that gets generated from just your gun holding hand, and to some degree it is tied to the animations.
It is done this way to avoid having everyone running around with their arms flailing about the place. This may change in the future, but the current approach is a little more serious, geared towards making the character animations with the gun better.

That brings up a few other points. The animations are all mo-capped from a trained professional with weapon handling experience, there will be more added, including taunting. There are some issues with left hand placement, and this will be fixed with IK in the future.

We are tracking and replicating all of the head data, and left and right hand.

I have just this minute finished uploading the latest patch after some rigorous testing, not much content, as it has been mainly bug fixing/testing to clean up the UI bugs.

Patch Notes:
Non VR ingame menu issues fixed.
Non VR, movement input config added (axis bindings)
VR menu interaction has now changed, this should be much more reliable for people, and resolved for those that had issues clicking on items.
VR default options, increased screen resolution to 140% for default.
Small UI tweaks here and there.
General stability improvements; Potentially some more caused by various HW configs, these are generally engine bugs that are being worked on.

Thanks again for the positive responses, and the discussion around features that you want to see.

Its truly AWESOME to see you guys enjoying it so far.

Please feel free to get out there and share your experiences on places such as Reddit or Twitter or what not. I will have some review copies going out today and hopefully start generating some more interest to get more players on board!

Till next time!
