This update is a progress of the backgrounds update and additional bug fixing and optimisation . So now with the backgrounds menu you can add your own backgrounds if you want. How to do this.
Backgrounds Menu
open the image file (can be either jpg or png) you wish to use as your background. The settings you're viewing it in don't matter. Backgrounds guess the settings based on the resolution. A background will be displayed as 360 barrel, if the width is twice as wide as the height it will be displayed as side by side stereo, if the width and height are the same it will be displayed as over under stereo, anything else will be mono.
Open the Backgrounds menu, which is available on the main menu ui or in the setting menu under buttons.
You'll be presented with the default selection of backgrounds. In the top right you have number which are the numbers of pages, select one of the numbers such as the number two. You will be presented with another page which should be several empty slots. select an empty slot.
select the "get current" button in the bottom right of the menu. The current image you're viewing will be copied to a backgrounds folder in the roaming folder, will be displayed in the slot and will be set as your background.
You background is now available to be used with any of your media. Your background is copied so if you delete the background file it came from it will not be deleted from your backgrounds. To remove a background select the background you wish to remove and select "clear". All the default backgrounds can't be removed but can be replaced. When you clear a default background you have replaced you will get the original default background again.
I'm going to do a tutorial on this as I've been doing tutorials on a lot of the aspects of the player.
Other Things
There have been several attempts to optimize the player also. This has increased the overall performance in the menus and hopefully should improve performance of slower systems.
There have been other improvements but I'm not totally sure what they are. hopefully they fix bugs and generally improve things :)
