And another one. I've updated another beta. This was going to be a default update but due to the fact that I've updated two major plugins of the player, the Video plugin that runs DirectShow and now Media foundation but I've also updated the Oculus SDK to 1.8.
So here is an overview of the updates.
Video plugin updated.
Oculus plugin updated.
Audio track selection on all Video paths.
Menu improvements which will in turn allow for more customisable menus. You’ll notice some minor improvements including a more streamline look to rooms option.
The plugin used for the Media Foundation Video path has now been replaced with a new plugin.
This should have some short term benefits such as better performance (the new plugin has gpu decoding as default) and also fixes some minor bugs.
As some fundamental parts of the player have changed please let me know of any performance lost or bugs you come across. I hope to have the next release be the default one so you can help me get that as bug free as possible.
There are also a few bug fixes and I'm preparing for the future with my Publisher which will allow people to make there own menus if they want.
