some users were still hearing garbled audio after the first windows compatibility update on low-latency USB/Firewire audio interfaces, because the SSC wasn't providing the audio data in small enough chunks to the physical sound card.
So this Windows-only update adds a small configuration tool that is used during the driver installation to configure the SSC driver to check for new audio data every 1ms. That should be fast enough for every hardware audio interface :)
If you have installed the SSC before, it'll automatically ask to update the driver upon the next start.. and if you allow it to update, it'll also configure the SSC driver to match your physical sound card.
Also, this update adds a tool for Windows users to remove the "NAT Virtual Audio Device" driver. You can access it by right-clicking the "Spatial Sound Card" in your Steam library and selecting "Remove Driver".
