Hi everyone!
First of all, huge thanks to all of you who has bought the game, played it and an extra thanks to those who has put it the extra effort to review or give feedback.
I'm especially excited about all the videos you've made playing the game which is awesome to see! Maybe without knowing it, you've provided a gold mine of feedback just by recording and thinking out loud by playing. We've carefully watched and read everything you've said and have compiled a great list of suggestions and issues you've given us and moving forward we will incorporate all the great ideas into our design. I'll try to talk about what we've planned at a later time but exciting things are happening!
To show we're not just talking but also doing we've just launched our second update in a week! This is also a smaller update but solves some issues and starts some of the bigger work we've got ahead.
Without further ado, here's the release notes for v1.16:
- Optimized font rendering giving a slight framerate boost.
- Improved map loading which saves some time when entering races.
- Started carshop, garage and upgrade screens overhaul after feedback showing they were confusing and cumbersome to use. We've removed unnecessary elements and renamed buttons. More to come.
- Added a career start message that briefly explains the League career mode for new players.
- Clarified the difficulty dialog to properly explain how the difficulty system works in career. (Thanks KevGuuey on Youtube!).
- Tweaked cash rewards which were way too generous.
- Fixed so Xbox controllers are correctly detected and can therefore display the correct button names in the Controls option menu. (Thanks GamingTaylor on Youtube!)
- Fixed issue where if you interrupted the narrator and left a race he would crash the game. Grumpy guy. We've done a huge stability update to all our audio handling so this won't happen again.
- The Roadclub Master now shows his nickname on the welcome screen.
- Additional UI fixes on upgrade and league screens.
Hope this makes for a better experience! We're already at work with the next update. As always, keep telling us what to improve in the Discussion forum.
Thanks again for your support!
