Hey there, tavern keepers!
How have your first days running cosy swamp taverns been?
Well, today, let’s take a break from business management and focus on 💫 creativity 💫. Let’s talk about Tavern Keeper’s Design Mode!
📽️ New Design Mode Video
Our Art Director, Seth Trimble, dives deep into Design Mode, showing how you can go from placing a few simple decorations to completely redesigning furniture in the game. Catch the full video below:
🎉 Join the Design Party
Got inn-spired with that deep dive? Why not try it for yourself? We’re hosting one last Design Party before Tavern Keeper launches!
Until October 26th, share your creations with us for a chance to have them featured in the release build. You can participate in two categories:
🖼️ Screenshots
Take creative pictures of your tavern or any other part of the game using Tavern Keeper’s Photo Mode (shortcut: P). Remove the UI by pressing Ctrl+U and play with the game’s filters. Go wild with the perspective!
The best screenshots may appear as loading screens in the final game - with credit to their creators, of course!
Important: Make sure your screenshots are in 4K and PNG - that way, they’ll look great in-game at any resolution. The game’s Photo Mode has a 4K screenshot option ready to go!
If you are chosen, we’ll reach out to get the full quality version.
⚒️ Decoration
You’re more the designer type, huh? Then this one is for you.
Create any tavern decoration you can imagine using Design Mode, whether you want to make a painting, a minimalist bar counter, a fully redesigned table, or just a quirky dog.
After you're done with your masterpiece, save it as a furniture template and grab the share code.
If you’re picked, your decoration will be added to the final game, and other players can unlock it through gifts from happy patrons.🎁
🍻 How to participate
Once you’re happy with what you made, just share a screenshot of your creation on social media with the hashtag #TavernKeeperDesign, or head over to our Discord server and post in the #🎨╏design-space area using the “Design Party” tag. If you are submitting a decoration, please include the share code. 😉
Looking forward to seeing what you’ll make!
Love,
Patty, Social and Community Manager @ Greenheart Games 💚
