For some time, we’ve been teasing the Botanical Gardens within Eden Tower--home of the Watson Genomics eco habitat, and the setting for Rogue Update 0.7's new Soul Decrypt mission. Today, we’re showing you a bit more of the evolution and level design of this ambitious environment!
Botanical Gardens is the most extensive and detailed environment we have designed yet. Notably, Soul Decrypt is also the most important Raw Data mission thus far in the story campaign. As you delve into the lush landscapes and the posh interior of Watson Genomics complex, you’ll begin to grasp just how deep Eden’s corruption truly goes: into the human soul itself.
It all begins with a ride on the Eden tram for an ecological tour hosted by your favorite executive assistant: Simon! Welcome aboard...

As you admire the expanses of scenery throughout this mind-expanding tour and marvel at the genetically-enhanced beauty under the simulated sky, you’ll notice that not everything is as tranquil as it seems. (And it’s not just because Simon’s along for the ride.)
Watson Genomics has only the best security Eden Corp has to offer.
Oh dear. You appear to be experiencing some kind of psychedelic trip. How terribly embarrassing.
Final in-game render as you approach your final stop.
You’ve arrived at your destination: the Watson Genomics complex, where the very fabric of life itself is deconstructed, analyzed, manipulated, revamped, and reengineered down to its last molecule.
What does that mean for you? Let’s just say that robots aren’t your only enemies in this place.
Approaching our final destination (hopefully not literally).

Within Watson Genomics, you’ll find a curious, calming meditation environment called the Attunement Chamber. However, you’re deep enough into Eden to know that the glossy facade and zenlike atmosphere are not all that meets the eye.

What does it all mean? Find out on Friday when you enter the Botanical Gardens for the first time.
Tomorrow: get to know Elder’s abilities in his official hero profile!
