Greetings, SyndiK8 ops!
As we disclosed last week, thanks to your efforts, we’ve extracted tons of valuable information with regards to Eden Corp’s digital infrastructure. What does that mean for you? Two new missions, two new opportunities to extract more of that sweet, sweet raw data.
However, Eden’s security system is getting a bit paranoid, so their protocols have been--shall we say--heightened a bit.
New Mission: Thundershock
Eden’s robotics facilities and fusion reactor are going crazy trying to keep up with all of the damage you’ve inflicted. While it’s great that we’re overloading their systems, it’s had an unexpected side effect: seems all that excess electrical energy have reacted with the solar winds in the atmosphere to generate a perfect storm.
Make your way across the Eden rooftop, but be wary of those brutal lightning strikes. While they’ll hit you like a ton of bricks, the robots seem almost--rejuvenated. So be sure to dodge the elements while also quickly taking out any enemies revitalized by the surge.
New Mission: Extermination
Survived the strikes? Then it’s time to descend into the ancient (by Eden standards) Teleshift laboratory, where the technology was first devised--and where nobody’s set foot since it was mysteriously sealed up tight.
Except you, of course. And apparently there’s some sort of old “Extermination Protocol” in place that’ll probably be triggered, and if I know these older setups, that can only mean one thing: lasers. Lots and lots of advanced security lasers. Hope you’re ready for some dancing, because these will put your dexterity to the test…
...Hold up. I just got an urgent transmission.
It sounds like we’ve got something else to share, but I’ve got to review some files first. I’ll check back in with you soon...
Stay tuned for Part 2, coming later this week!
