Today Mart shares some information on the Challenge mode! Short parkour-styled levels that challenge you to get to the end as fast as possible.
Variety
The goal of each level we create is to constantly challenge you in a new way. Some challenges are more straightforward and focus on very precise, rhythmical, timing of Spins and Jumps to perfect your aerial platforming. Others focus more on the interactions that the movement mechanics have with geometry – challenging you to make the perfect turns and cutting corners wherever you can.
Challenge mode can be played alone or with your party of friends online or in offline split screen, and all scores count towards the leaderboards.
Difficulty and options
The levels become increasingly more difficult as you progress. What’s important in our Design is that the early levels can also challenge the most experienced players vying for the best score on the leaderboards. We design the levels to have multiple different approaches. Routes which requires the use of additional (advanced) movement mechanics are often faster. Sometimes you’ll be able to find hidden short cuts, so keep your eyes open and explore!
For the speedrunners we even have a separate classification, you can attempt to get a Dev star for every challenge. You can earn these by finishing a challenge within the time that we completed it as the developers. There might even be some cool rewards waiting for you. These are meant to be difficult but optional to get; achieving a bronze star already unlocks the next level.
We had a lot of fun developing these levels, and we hope you look forward to playing them. Don’t hold back and try to beat us on the leaderboards!
