Hi!
With the beta having ended last Monday, we've been incredibly busy compiling all the feedback, bug reports, and answering community questions.
We'd sincerely like to thank the group of players we selected from all over the world that had a chance to play the beta for their efforts in reporting feedback and bugs to us. The majority of you were from the EU and US, we even had a few from South America, China and Australia join in - however, we did not have any server presence there.
Our first post-beta steps
We've noticed some people had difficulties with the initial training stages, while others breezed through it. We've come up with some solutions that we believe will work for both ends of the spectrum and have already started on implementation.
We've already fixed several bugs, including some minor bugs with the ghosts and stats. The experience curve is being adjusted to more smoothly progress players from level to level, and we're improving the translations that were missing.
We've also taken note of any mouse controls that can still be improved, the group system on Steam, and any networking issues that were present.
In general, we're adding some quality of life improvements such as leaderboards that can be viewed within the challenges and a player score overlay option during multiplayer matches. This will make it easier to see players in a match and how they rank.
This is not everything we have in the pipeline, but we will share more as it becomes available.
What will be added at launch
- Custom Match: (disabled during beta) allows you to select any multiplayer map and create a private match, hosted by the group leader. You can add bots, set difficulty and maximum game size.
- Challenges: More challenges will be available in release, we have around 20-21 done and a few more in development, aiming for 30.
- Multiplayer Challenges: (was disabled during beta) play challenges casually with friends, or race each other for the best time. Group leader hosts.
- Customization: More customization will be available at launch. We haven't shown everything yet ;)
- Multiplayer Levels: Two more multiplayer maps are nearly done. We'll show more once the artists have completed their art passes of the levels.
- Achievements: While these weren't really available during the beta, we made sure you could still unlock them in-game, just not on Steam. We've already adjusted the rewards to more accurately represent the difficulty in obtaining each achievement.
Thank you for reading, we truly hope everyone enjoyed the beta. Any feedback is always welcome and we'll continue to polish up the game. Sit tight for the announcement on our release date.
-Tim
