We have good news for you. It's been more than a month since 0.7.14 was released and, while the initial idea was that it'd be our last build until the music channel release (0.8), we are not happy with the current build.
We've been working on fixing some bugs (thanks a lot for reporting, it really helps) and we felt it was not fair to hold the fix until 0.8.
Finally, our love for you won the fight and we've decided to release a last build before the music channel is released, with known bug fixes and a new feature...
Fixed bugs
- Collaborators don't get stuck on dancing anymore.
- The 100k sub award event loads correctly now.
- There was a bug where the other U-Tubers stopped gaining subs, fixed now.
- Collaborators showed <100 skill level before hiring, then dropped to sub 100.
- There were some instances where the game calculator gave an error .number and the sub count and money took ridiculous values, should be fixed now.
- Some achievements did not get properly registered.
- Consoles don't stack on top of each other anymore. Better distribution.
New feature!
Companies:
Our awesome game design team came up with this idea much like a faction system. Just like in real life, once your U-Tube channel becomes relevant, companies will start seeking your partnership to promote their products or services.
You will be visited by a sales representative who will offer you some deals, or you can look for other reps at trade shows... but be aware: every action has its consequences and maybe one company doesn't like when you start promoting their competitors!
Other changes:
- New language available: Ukranian
- When a new game is started, you'll have one friend instead of several.
- Phones are now found in the tech store.
- Some beverages (coffee & energy drinks) will now give you some energy while replenishing your hunger bar, so you can postpone sleeping for later.
- We've improved the mansion (pre-space) layout. Now it's a one story building.
- Some redundant and superfluous notifications have been removed.

THIS WILL BE A PRIVATE BETA
This build packs several changes and we want you, the players, to be really sure that you want to test it. Therefore, we suggest backing up your save files before launching this new update so you can restore them in case something breaks. You can find your save files here:[windows documents folder]\U-Play online\Youtubers life\Saves
To enroll in this private beta program:
- Open your Steam library
- Right click Youtubers Life -> Properties
- Go to the BETAS tab
- Enter the following code:
youtubersbeta - Select "beta - Private beta" in the drop-down list.
- Your Steam library should show Youtubers Life like this:
If there's no catastrophe in sight during the weekend, we'll go on public beta on Monday, and final release by the end of next week depending on how the build performs.
