The Grade 5B Case Files is a text adventure game themed around the daily life of elementary school students solving mysteries.
Join Holmlyn and Watsonia as they uncover various everyday yet mysterious incidents at school. Through investigation and deduction, they will crack the secrets hidden in plain sight. The Steam page is now live, so be sure to add it to your wishlist!
Watsonia, a student in Grade 5, Class B at Seashell Elementary School, buys a notebook at a stationery store. At the time, she has no idea what she wants to write in it—she simply finds the cover cute and decides to buy it. This notebook becomes the starting point that brings Watsonia and her classmate Holmlyn together as a team of two, investigating and deducing unusual incidents hidden within daily school life.
In this game, you'll join Holmlyn and Watsonia to collect clues, investigate, think critically, and crack one small mystery after another.
Classmates, teachers, and even students from other grades
will all play their part in this exciting mystery drama!
If you get stuck during your investigations, just flip through Watsonia’s notebook—she’s carefully recorded every clue!
The game features a chapter-based linear narrative structure, with a total of 5 chapters, each taking about 1 hour to play. Chapter 1 will be available for free, and subsequent chapters will be released as DLC. As the story progresses, the story of school will gradually unfold.
Chapters 1-3 are expected to release this year, with further updates to follow!
There are also plans for new titles in the series, each containing 5 chapters, continuing to explore mysteries hidden in daily life.
The game is developed by Teacher Li, with art by zahyou and published by Eternal Dream Studio.
