Hello everyone,
I’ve been closely following your feedback, and there was one recurring issue that I knew I had to address: The dead ends. Many of you felt that hitting a closed door after a long walk and having to backtrack all the way to the start was making the experience frustrating.
I hear you. I read every single comment, from Steam reviews to YouTube videos. Even though I’m working hard on the upcoming chapters, I couldn't leave the demo in a state that didn't meet your expectations. I don’t make games just for myself; I make them to challenge, entertain, and immerse you.
What’s New in Version 1.71?
With this update, I’ve completely overhauled the randomization logic to end the "walking back" fatigue:
The Three-Door System: At the start, you will now face 3 doors. One of them is a guaranteed path to the exit. Which one? That’s up to your luck!
Purposeful Dead Ends: The other two doors lead to dead ends, but they aren't empty. You’ll find memories to collect there.
Lore-Friendly Teleportation: Once you reach the end of a dead end, you no longer have to walk back to the spawn point. You will be teleported back in a way that fits the game’s atmosphere.
The Mystery: I personally love the feeling of passing through a door and wondering, "Is this the one?" It adds a layer of suspense that I think you’ll enjoy.
The Final Step for the Demo
I know I’ve said this before, but this is truly the final update for the demo. I need to pour all my energy into the full version to give you the best experience possible.
Thank you for your constructive criticism and for being part of this journey. Please keep sharing your thoughts—they are what make this game better.
Respectfully,
