Hello everyone,
I’m excited to bring you the final major update for the demo. This version represents the culmination of all the feedback I’ve received from you.
As a solo developer, I’ll be the first to admit: I tried some things that sounded good on paper but didn't quite work in practice. I’ve had my share of trial and error, and I know there were some frustrations along the way. But without those experiments—and without your honest critiques—we wouldn't have reached this point. You are the ones who truly build the game; as a developer, I can sometimes get lost in the details and miss the bigger picture. Thank you for being my eyes and ears. Your ideas have been invaluable, and I am deeply grateful to everyone who shared their thoughts.
Here is what’s new in v1.55:
💾 Persistent Save System & Steam Cloud
One of the biggest requests was the ability to save progress. I heard you!
Save Game: Your discovered anomalies are now saved automatically. You no longer have to find them all in one sitting.
Steam Cloud: Active! You can now pick up your journey from any device, exactly where you left off.
Progress Reset: Want a fresh start? I’ve added a Trash Can icon. Simply hold it for 3 seconds to wipe your save data and begin the hunt again.
🏛️ The Memory Museum
This is a feature I’m personally very excited about. I’ve added a new, museum-style room where the "memories" (anomalies) you find are displayed. It’s a place to reflect on the story and see your progress physically manifesting in the world.

🧘 Normal Mode vs. SAFE MODE
I want everyone to enjoy the atmosphere of the Poolrooms, regardless of their playstyle.
SAFE MODE: Designed for those who want to focus purely on the liminal atmosphere and story exploration.
No Threats: No Phonehead or monsters will stalk you.
Zero Stress: No asthma attacks, no need to hunt for inhalers or phone batteries.
Infinite Resources: Your flashlight and health are infinite. Just wander, discover, and breathe in the silence.
NORMAL MODE: The classic experience for those who enjoy the tension and the challenge.
I hope this update makes your experience smoother and more meaningful. I’m always open to your thoughts, so please keep the feedback coming—whether it’s positive or negative, it helps me grow.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Stay safe in the pools!
