Amöbius is always good for a surprise. With him loosing the first round is not similar to loosing the whole match. He is always ready to turn the tides!
If you’re actually looking at him, this isn’t unexpected at all. The small purple blob is reminiscent of a cell. Cells are incredibly diverse and mutable. Humans have over 200 different cell types with different tasks. Based on this it is easy to comprehend why Amöbius is able to adapt to just anything.
The perfect prerequisite for combi-attacks!
Positive Status Effects
Due to the inconsistency of large language models, it is difficult to prepare combinations with a fixed sequence. Despite it, it is possible to develop skills that interact and strengthen each other. It is even possible to make them depend on each other. This allows you to prompt skills that make it quite easy to turn the tide after losing the first round of a match.
If you lose a round, but can strengthen your future attacks, it is still an ability with good use.
Now, let’s look at Amöbius!
The ability Zellgift (‘cellular poison’) isn’t effective against every other Promptable.
But in combination with Mutation or Evolution it is an attack that should be taken seriously. When Amöbius is strengthens himself with environmental effects, for example with the oil that was used to grease the clock gear, Zellgift gets stronger in the following round.
Just like a status effect. Just positive!

Ability 1: Mutation Mutates due to environmental influence, causes cellular poison to change
Ability 2: Cellular poison Exudes mutated poisonous spores
Ability 3: Evolution Mutates and adapts on enemy; heightens resistance
Bottom row:
Amöbius uses Evolution! Sir René(AI Bot) uses Flight! Amöbius starts to mutate, his protective hull is growing. […]
Amöbius uses Mutation! Sir René(AI Bot) uses Grapple! Amöbius starts to adapt to the cold treasure room and exudes cellular poison. […]
Amöbius uses Cellular Poison! Sir René(AI Bot) uses Grapple! Amöbius exudes mutated poison spores towards Sir René. The adapted spores touch Sir René and are effective. Amöbius hits due to reach and area effect.
But do these abilities just work one way?
Choice of Words
You might have noticed how Mutation uses the word ‘Zellgift’ in his description? Or Evolution using ‘Mutation’? The repetition of the title or important words of the description heightens the probability of the AI recognizing interactions between both abilities.
The lower half of the image includes excerpts of an actual duel. Even the AI starts using the same words over and over again. Which leads to it recognizing that Evolution had an strengthening effect on Zellgift!
So, what’s important?
Try to design your combinations non-linear. If you’re keeping open in which direction the dependencies work, the AI recognizes the interactions more easily.
Mini Challenge
Try to design your own Combi-Attacks now!
First, just make a basic ability. Then think about how it could be strengthened or changed. Try to make a second ability to do that.
Does anything change on their efficiency depending on the order you’re using the abilities? What effect has picking up the choice of words in the other ability?
How do your abilities interact with different enemies?
Are there maybe Bots that are already using Combi-Attacks? You could use them as inspiration!
Last Words
It is a challenge to write (good) combination attacks. But it is not impossible. Maybe there even is another Promptable whose base abilities can adapted more easily to work in a combination of multiple attacks?
Have fun with experimenting!
Next time we’ll look at Quibbel!
