The moment we’ve been working towards for the last 5 months is finally here. The Kingster Public Playtest is officially OPEN!
We are a small team pouring our hearts into this "Chess meets Roguelike" chaos, and we are incredibly excited to invite you to try it out.
Your feedback means everything to us. That’s why we stayed in a "closed playtest" phase for a while, gathering invaluable feedback from friends and amazing strangers alike. We implemented the most impactful changes as quickly as possible to get ready for this Public Playtest. But we aren't stopping here—we will continue working on major improvements and new features in the background as we head towards the Demo and full Release.
🔥 What’s New in This Build?
Based on those early tests, we’ve made massive improvements:
Story Book: The game now has a soul! We added a "Story Book" that introduces Kingster's background lore both at the start of the game and before Boss levels. These sections won't just tell a story; they will also teach you some critical gameplay patterns.
(New!) Tutorial: Learning the game is now much smoother! We added a comprehensive tutorial to guide you through the mechanics.
Visual Polish: We improved the readability of Action Counts and refined the Shop UI to make features like "Kingster Upgrades" much clearer.
🛠️ Bug Fixes: We squashed many bugs thanks to early feedback.
⚖️ Balance Tweaks: Enemies are smarter, and decks are more fun to build.
How to Play?
Simply click the "Request Access" or "Join Playtest" button on our Store Page, and you can start playing immediately!
