Removal from Steam Store

Major\Minor was taken off of the Steam Store today. It was due to a FALSE DMCA Takedown Notice by somebody who was once a part of the project.

I know for a fact that they do not hold a copyright to their character pre-dating the launch of Major\Minor. Their character appears briefly in the trailer for two seconds. I had received their permission to keep the trailer online until the rendering of a new one could be afforded. Patreon fine print also dictated that their character could be used fully after payment was made regardless of if they paid out their full term or not.

However I was still respectful and removed them from the game entirely. It is a mere two second appearance that has yet to be edited out. But I was given express permission to take my time in creating a new trailer.

All of this evidence has been given to Valve.

Furthermore, their proof of copyright was simply a link to their character's ref sheet on FurAffinity. I've submitted my rebuttal, and the game should be back on Steam shortly. I am not sure if the other party is aware that filing a fake DMCA is an illegal act.

But I hope a peaceful resolution awaits them as well.

I know that Valve takes these matters very seriously.

See you all soon, with Chapter Four nearing completion.
