Hey everyone! A patch was just released, here's some details.
- The majority of the opening chapter has been re-written and restructured. This is in attempt to help the player get to the main conflict and story faster, without having to wade through endless dialogue boxes. The internal narration from the protagonist has been cut down in length and made more interesting.
- The scenes that provide backstory to Terra that played at the beginning of Chapter Two, are now interspersed throughout Chapter One. This will help the player learn more about the grand scheme of things while they go about their regular day in Tokyo and provide enough intrigue to continue reading.
- Choices made on the train are held against you MUCH less. The consequences of these choices try to appear more naturally.
- The man in The Ark no longer lectures you on the choices you've made, instead his scenes have been re-written entirely, intriguing the player to await his revealing information at the beginning of Chapter Two.
- The game now launches in Fullscreen. This is to be more friendly to those running on Steam Link, etc...
- The dialogue box has been tinted a darker neutral grey.
- A border has been added to the games window.
- Various grammatical tweaks and dialogue fixes were implemented.
NOTE: Further re-writes are coming to Chapter One, but the most important was overhauling the opening and the overall structure. If you notice portrait flicker in some instances, I was pre-coding in expression changes using placeholder images. When expressions come these instances will change the portrait entirely instead of quickly flickering.
Thanks everyone for your support!
I am now proud with the way Chapter One is, and am going to continue to improve it in a number of ways. Chapter Three will come out in February!
