This is a VERY hypothetical situation, so please bear with me.
Major\Minor has come a long way since launch.
There were many that argued it was an incomplete project.
But over the last few months, I have made many changes and additions.
I believe that it would be great to re-launch the game.
I am confident in the amount of content the game has.
And the amount of content the game will gain in the coming months.
I've started a Greenlight campaign for a Major\Minor re-launch.
This won't affect any current owners of the game.
All this will do is release a more complete product than we did in December.
It will be on the Steam storefront to capture a new audience.
What you will be supporting by voting yes, is:
A second wave of exposure for a drastically upgraded product.
There is about 5x more content than we had at launch.
Those that are against an episodic format;
Now have a sizable amount of content to work with.
There is no obligation otherwise. No money required. Completely free.
Everybody who purchased Major\Minor will get a free upgrade to this new edition.
Those that haven't, will still only pay the $10 asking price.
This isn't paid DLC, or a Definitive Edition.
I want to show off how far we've come to the world.
The script is approaching 100,000 words.
I will be releasing Chapter Four and adding in expressions soon.
I believe this would be a great time to show the world what M\M actually is.
Major\Minor: Take Two will launch with:
- 5-6 Chapters (50% of the game initially)
- Multiple Expressions
- New Trading Cards/Profile Backgrounds/Emoticons
It will be a much better introduction to the product than before.
I want to stress the fact that this is not paid in any way.
Everyone will get this content, and only a $10 purchase is required.
Whether you buy the current version, or the re-launched version.
Major\Minor will only ever have a $10 entry fee.
I will work with Steam to make sure that current owners receive the new edition for free.
This is so that they don't have to pay to collect new Trading Cards, etc...
(That is subject to change based on Valve's response)
If you vote yes, you simply vote for more exposure for the game.
And a chance to show off just how far we've come.
I understand second chances are a very subjective thing.
That is why the choice remains in the hands of the community.
I am perfectly fine if this Greenlight fails.
Everyone will still get the planned content for free.
It is definitely a "different" type of thing to try.
But Major\Minor is a different type of product as well.
Nothing is set in stone.
This will be largely decided by community feedback.
This is merely an idea I've had in my mind.
And I wanted to see what everybody thought.
Thanks! Let me know if you have any questions.
