Hello, Wayfarers!
Thank you so much for trying out Immortal Wayfarer during Steam Next Fest and for sharing so many valuable pieces of feedback and suggestions with us. Based on your input, we will continue developing new content while steadily refining and optimizing the overall gameplay experience.
Specifically, we've noticed that much of your feedback centers around controls. Due to a tight development schedule, some planned features didn't make it into this Next Fest Demo, and we fully recognize that the current control system still has quite a few shortcomings.
In our current development build, we've already improved keyboard and mouse controls. For example, you can now use the mouse wheel to rotate the character, and click to quickly use or switch items. On the controller side, we are actively refining button layouts for different controller types. We are also adding multiple turning modes in the settings, as well as an option to swap the Confirm and Cancel buttons. So whether you prefer O to confirm and X to cancel, or the other way around, you'll be able to play comfortably with your preferred setup.
On top of that, veterans of the dungeon-crawler genre have been asking: will there be a wait-in-place action and a dash mechanic?
Rest assured, both features are already part of our development plan. They weren't included in this Next Fest Demo mainly because they don't fundamentally change the core gameplay loop. We also want to give them more distinctive and polished animations, so they are scheduled for a later update.
The same applies to the much-anticipated shop raiding mechanic. The current demo only shows the basic ability to interact with shops in this way, but we will be expanding shopkeeper systems and related mechanics in future updates. Once that happens, raiding a shop won't be quite so simple anymore.

To focus our efforts on further development and optimization, the current Next Fest Demo will be temporarily delisted. We hope that when we next meet, the game will be in a much more polished state, offering a smoother and more engaging experience.
We look forward to seeing you back in the dungeon, ready to vanquish demons and banish evil spirits once more.
