Thanks everybody for playing the demo! This has been live only one week, but hundreds of you already played. Very much appreciated.
Initial feedback and bug reports are being worked on, for now I only pushed a new patch to the demo that was deadlocking folks with their default language in Spanish or Japanese, so I considered this one critical:
Beta 0.4.2
- Fix: Starting the game in Spanish or Japanese by default sometimes wouldn't boot it fully.
The rest of changes are currently sitting in dev-experimental branch for testing, and will stay there for a week or two before moving them to the demo and full game builds. If you want to give it a go, come and join discord for playtesting access!
Scoreboards
You're putting my runs to shame, I'm nowhere to be seen in the first 10 spots and beating my score just took a few days 😂
The scoreboard in game is still a bit finicky, as Steam takes quite a while to update them, but I have several fixes in place that will go out soon and should improve it.
There are people down there willing to make a deal
Two new strangers have set up shop in the dungeon:
The Gene Surgeon will happily rearrange you, though whether that's surgery or a game of chance depends on your luck.
The Affix Switcher deals in gear, and can turn a weapon you tolerate into one you love. Or not.
More guns and ammo types, including your own blood
Ten new ranged weapons across the last two builds, including rifle types, plus ammo types to feed them.
Craft-eable Mutagens
The basics of mutagen crafting are in. Each dungeon tier now offers one mutagen stabilizer
New ways to die
Steam and electric damage have been added.
Careful what you eat
You've always had to be careful before, but now a new mechanic has arrived: Cannibalism is in. It'll extend your life. It'll also cost you, permanently.
