Hand Tracking in EIGHT
We have added an additional step to the EIGHT tutorial to indicate whether you can use Hand Tracking or not. Currently, hand-tracking is only supported when using the Oculus OpenXR runtime through Meta Horizon Link.
We are working on additional hand-tracking support for other OpenXR runtime settings. Make sure that you have the correct OpenXR runtime enabled!
Other changes/fixes:
- When pushing against the interactable canvas in EIGHT, the stage boundary should not pop up in the indentation created by pushing into the canvas.
- We changed the way that HERE detects whether you are using hand tracking or controllers into a more stable way.
- Disabled auto-orientation when teleporting with controllers in EIGHT.
- When teleporting with hands, when the circle fills up, you will only teleport once you stop pinching.
- EIGHT Shaders should now be properly loaded in when finishing the tutorial, ensuring that you do not see any flashing objects if shaders were not properly loaded.
- Changed the layout of the EIGHT tutorial window, with bigger sizes for the Previous and Next buttons. (Is the Skip button too small now?)
- Hidden the Teleportation Speed option in the EIGHT menu when using controllers
Thank you for helping us make HERE a better application!
