Hello everyone!
This time there’s no Feature Showcase. It will take a little longer until enough material has come together and I can process it in a way that truly makes it worthwhile to show you something big. So today, just a small glimpse into what’s happening behind the scenes — a little status report from ongoing development.
Last time I told you that work was being done on the sound system. And indeed: it’s now almost finished. A few proper tests are still missing, the usual small fixes, a bit of polishing here and there, but overall the whole thing is standing solid.
While the sound system is running its final laps, the workbenches are currently receiving their finishing touches. And meanwhile, I’m letting myself get chased across the world by Mola.
Who is Mola? A small, adorable boss lady you’d really like to cuddle — if she didn’t make you break into a sweat at the same time. She’s fast, she’s cheeky, and she clearly enjoys chasing players across the landscape.
Yes, bosses are being worked on as well. Pretty ones, less pretty ones, and those you’d rather observe from a safe distance.
At the same time, the world itself is slowly receiving its final polish. Adding a few more buildings here and there, placing some cliffs, shaping a few corners — and soon Camino County will reach the point where I can finally show you the full world map.
It’s always fascinating to see how many small pieces slowly grow into one coherent whole.
That’s it for this first State of Dev. A small look behind the curtain, a few impressions from the ongoing work, and hopefully enough to give you a sense that things are steadily moving forward.
Until the next update — stay curious, stay patient, and take care of yourselves.
