Today it’s all about the weather, the protection you’ll need, and a few small things that will keep you busy in Camino County faster than you might like.
Weather is simply part of any proper survival experience. Besides sunny days, there’s rain, thunderstorms, snow, and fog. And each of them has its own quirks.
When it gets really hot, it’s worth staying in the shade. Open fields may look idyllic, but out there the sun can flambé your hat in real time.
Rain feels refreshing but makes your clothes heavier and slows you down. Taking them off helps — at least as long as you don’t walk straight into a snow cloud.
Heat, cold, rain, snow… everything affects your well‑being, sometimes positively, sometimes not at all.
And then there are the biomes.
A warm day in the swamp can quickly feel like a free sauna session.
Currently, there are five biomes: colorful meadows, forests, snow, swamp, and the areas contaminated by
Astral Dust.
What is Astral Dust?
In a world full of ghosts, you’re constantly exposed to the stuff. The more you collect, the more uncomfortable life becomes in Camino County.
In contaminated areas, your exposure rises especially fast. But don’t panic: you can get rid of the dust or slow down its accumulation.
For example through Meridians, medicine, or a cleansing ritual.
The cleansing removes even the tiniest dust particle but also summons a horde of ghosts. So secure your home first and check your Neyxite‑coated weapons. Nothing is more embarrassing than your blade giving up during the big moment.
What is Neyxite?
Neyxite is pretty much the most important material in Camino County and one of the reasons you’re here in the first place.
You need it for almost everything: crafting, trading, upgrades for yourself and your companion. Sounds like a lot of work? It isn’t. There’s plenty of Neyxite around — as long as you don’t spend the whole day chilling under a tree. You get it from ghosts, treasure chests, quests, or trading with other players.
And with that, you’re well prepared — whether the sun burns, the fog creeps, or the summer rain soaks you completely. Enjoy the warm season, stay relaxed, and don’t let the weather ruin your adventure.
