Hello everyone.
Today I want to talk a bit about how gathering wood, stones and similar resources works in Camino Ghosts. This is one of the features that sets the game apart from other survival titles.

I think many of you do it just like I do. You craft your first axe, head into the nearest forest, and keep working until even the last tree has fallen.
In Camino Ghosts, things work a little differently.
Just pulling out your axe and clearing the forest? That doesn’t work here. Instead, there are designated gathering spots spread across the world where you can chop, mine or pick.
This is not only great for the environment, but it also has the pleasant side effect that you meet other workers more often. You start chatting, exchange information, make friends or just talk a bit about the day.
The gathering areas themselves come in different types.
For the beginning, the mixed areas are especially useful: a bit of wood, some stones, some bushes – everything you need without planning big dangerous expeditions. Later on, there are specialized areas with certain tree types, ores like copper and iron, or even more exotic materials.
Most of these places are quite safe, and only rarely does a ghostly creature wander in. But of course, there are also higher‑tier gathering areas, and those are located in regions where things aren’t quite as cozy anymore. On the way there, you should keep an eye open – or two, depending on how attached you are to your inventory.
That’s it for today – thanks for listening. We’ll see each other in the next Feature Showcase, nice and relaxed and without an axe in hand. And if you have questions or just want to chat a bit, feel free to leave a comment.
