Hi everybody!
As the release of both the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive get closer, we are making some changes to the early access version of the Grand Canyon VR experience!
Our community feedback round was a great success. A big fat thanks to all of you who submitted your thoughts and ideas on how we can make the Grand Canyon VR experience as awesome as possible :) We have taken your feedback to heart and already began implementing many of the ideas and suggestions. Even though they are not ready for release just yet, we can today give you a sneak preview of what’s coming to your Grand Canyon VR Experience over the next few months!
You wanted more explorable terrain. You got it!
-We are increasing the current canyon environment so there is a lot more to explore
-We are adding two entirely new zones : the wild rapids and the dark caves
You wanted more interactions. You got it!
-Next we will introduce one additional tool and much more objects that can be interactive
You wanted more animals. You got it!
-We are adding 3 more AI driven animals to the world. We don’t want to ruin the surprise, but we think you will really like them ;)
You felt the early access pricing was a little too high, so we lowered it!
-We decided to make the experience more accessible to anyone by lowering the price point. (NOTE : People who already purchased the Grand Canyon VR Experience at the old price will get the first DLC (coming Q1 2017) for free. So look for an email with more details as we get closer to launch.)
You wanted more freedom. You got it!
-We are revamping the complete paddling system, so that it’s much more realistic and allows the user to paddle anywhere in the environment - paddle backwards, turn around etc. It’s still a work-out, but now you have total control. (motion controllers required)
We will continue to listen to our community as we further develop the Grand Canyon VR Experience, so keep sending us your suggestions here.
