This update introduces the brand-new "Civil Commissions" feature—a fresh mission format distinct from official faction assignments.
Civil Commissions

As the primary habitats for humanity in interstellar space, stations are home not only to local faction members but also to civilians from all walks of life. These residents have their own needs and requests, giving rise to Civil Commissions.
Unlike official combat missions, Civil Commissions are not bound to specific battlefields. Objectives can be progressed across multiple missions and submitted once completed.
Commissions are not limited to eliminating a certain number of enemies—more often, they involve buying or selling various items. In fact, this is the core of Civil Commissions. By fulfilling these requests, players may obtain items not available through regular market channels, making this a valuable way to acquire rare resources early.
Occasionally, Civil Commissions may also include ship trade opportunities. If the official channels don’t offer the ship you're looking for, these commissions might bring a pleasant surprise.
Note: When a commission requires item delivery and the player has already left the requester’s station, items can be shipped remotely without returning in person. However, this incurs an additional shipping fee that increases with distance—if you’re dozens of star systems away, the cost may even exceed the commission’s reward. Be sure to keep track of your active commissions to avoid unnecessary losses.
