In Spot Zero, beyond standard combat, a host of formidable enemies await investigators to challenge. Within the [Abyss Hunt], you'll confront adversaries of exceptional difficulty—creatures possessing overwhelmingly imposing forms, devastating attack patterns, and cunning tactics. These traits collectively make them the enemies investigators dread facing most.
Today we will introduce each of these formidable enemies one by one, providing investigators with intelligence to prepare for future encounters.
Before diving into the specifics of these colossal beasts, let's first introduce the mechanics of the [Abyss Hunt].
Players can challenge higher-difficulty enemies in Abyss Hunt. Each time a player defeats a designated enemy for the first time, they will receive specific rewards. Additionally, Abyss Hunt features an independent leaderboard where investigators' achievements are recorded. Periodic rewards will be distributed based on their rankings.
[Fenrir]
Fenrir is a monstrous beast lurking in the depths of eternal night, born with an intimidating ferocity. Legend tells of how it once broke free from its chains, swallowing the moon hanging high in the sky and plunging the world into boundless darkness. It is a terrifying symbol of destruction and death, leaving only endless fear and desolation in its wake.
Fenrir moves with lightning speed, often launching surprise attacks. Having once devoured the moon, he frequently regards challengers as mere appetizers for his next meal.
Fenrir also wields the power of thunder and lightning, capable of accumulating electrical energy from a distance and unleashing lightning orbs with extreme velocity and tracking capabilities, placing immense pressure on combat.
[Gollinbursti]
After the illustrious Gollinbursti met his demise, his unfulfilled obsession crystallized into an indelible grudge, clinging to his soul like an unshakable chain. His noble spirit now wanders ceaselessly along the bleak, desolate path to the underworld. The road stretches endlessly before him, yet he finds no place to call home. His obsession has become a shackle, barring him even from the gates of hell where souls find rest. Condemned to eternal drifting, he is doomed to roam this shadowy realm without end.
Gollinbursti's moves are wide and sweeping, appearing slow in execution, yet once they land, they inflict devastating damage. Even investigators skilled in defense would hesitate to confront him.
If Gollinbursti is provoked in battle, he will attack more frequently and summon stone pillars to encircle his opponents, restricting their movement. Watching them scramble for narrow spaces between the pillars, it seems as though everything—like ants—is held firmly in Gollinbursti's grasp.
[Spring Ghoul]
The Geocentric Spring at the heart of Aurora Pool in the Celestial Sea once served as the lifeblood of Misty Village. Its ceaseless flow nourished the villagers and all creatures near and far, fostering lush vegetation and vibrant life throughout the land. Yet unbeknownst to all, in some unseen corner, this sacred spring began to mutate. It twisted into a dark, shadowy specter, shrouded in gloom and filled with an unsettling, chilling aura.
Spring Ghoul masters multiple ranged attack methods and can flexibly wield dark energy to assault investigators.
But this doesn't mean you can safely attack while hiding beside the Spring Ghoul. Her reactions are lightning-fast, and her scythe-like tentacles seem capable of tearing through anything. Any enemy attempting to get close must be prepared to face her potential close-range counterattack.
As the battle reaches its climax, Spring Ghoul will push its mastery of dark energy to its absolute limit. The lasers and energy spheres it unleashes will pose immense challenges for the Investigator, potentially forcing them to abandon offensive opportunities altogether in a desperate search for safe cover.
[Sue Husk]
This shell was forged from Sue's core material, using her likeness to dominate the Sky Cloud Sea and exercise its rule. When layer upon layer of lies was exposed, the false facade shattered with a thunderous crash. All that remained was a set of ghastly, emaciated bones. Amidst the crimson, tattered fabric, it danced like a puppet—grotesque and eerie, radiating utter absurdity and desolate chill.
Sue Husk is a master of silk thread manipulation. She can propel herself using silk threads to swiftly close in on opponents and launch attacks from unexpected angles. Simultaneously, she can summon clones to assault foes from multiple directions, toying with them at her whim.
It should be noted that the silk threads in Sue Husk's hands are not merely tools for swift movement, but also deadly weapons capable of inflicting severe damage on her opponents. She can imprison her foes within golden cages, piercing them with her threads. These seemingly ornate golden cages become the nightmare of every adversary who dares to fight her.
