We are delighted to share Better Than Us with you all! If you’ve ever dreamed of outsmarting the ultra-rich with nothing but charm and weaponized misinformation, this one’s for you. From the BAFTA-nominated creators of Vampire Therapist comes a stylish, savage, and darkly funny heist story set in a future where a handful of people don’t just own companies. They basically own humanity. Good news: you’re here to steal it back.
Set in the year 2200, the game takes cues from The Count of Monte Cristo, Thief: The Dark Project, Pentiment, and the comedic chaos of Mel Brooks and Terry Pratchett. It’s a world inspired by real history and researched with help from historians at Oxford, UC Davis, and the University of Florida. The result? A future that feels a little too familiar, and a lot too fun to infiltrate.
The signature mechanic, “Tell Lies, Remember Lies,” turns social stealth into a high-pressure memory game. You can say almost anything, but you’d better remember who you said it to. Forget a detail and your carefully crafted illusion crumbles. Track your stories, maintain your mask, and outmaneuver people who’ve built empires on deception.
Heists Among the Clouds
You’ll slip into opulent parties across floating cities the ultra-rich built to escape the climate disasters they caused. These people don’t buy sports cars; they buy elections. They’ve monopolized AI, rewritten the future, and polished their moral authority until it gleams. Your job? Walk right into their sanctuaries and tear their plans apart, one lie at a time.
This is a revenge story for anyone tired of watching a tiny group hoard the world’s wealth. In Better Than Us, you don’t just expose corruption. You steal back the future. It’s sharp, it’s angry, it’s funny, and it’s incredibly satisfying.
A Cast That Makes Every Lie Sing
Better Than Us features an all-star voice cast, including performers from Hades 2, Vampire Therapist, and other standout narrative titles. These aren’t throwaway party conversations. Every line delivery matters, every whisper has weight, and every interaction pushes your deception deeper.
