"The stars are too far and the sewers are too dark, but a scrap of paper with the right lines is a light all its own." - Zari the Cartographer
Hello fellow Torii-ans! Today we want to introduce Zari the Cartographer, someone who scurried their way in after the first demo. If you played the first demo you will not have encountered Zari (he likely was visiting another gate trying to add to his map!).
You can encounter Zari within the Kinnara gate.
Zari the Cartographer
Zari the Cartographer is a lover of maps. He had learned during his travels (from Bishamon) that a great map exists which can only be bestowed upon the person to map the entire Spirit Realm. This map, is known as the Golden Parchment of the Spirit Realm.
It is said that the Parchment's location revealed once a complete map of the spirit realm is made. What is in the Golden Parchment, no one knows. Legends have it that the Parchment is a treasure map that leads to a hidden area of the Spirit Realm. Will Torii be able to help Zari find it?
Helping Zari
Zari has been kind enough to help start the map out for you! He has marked special areas in the gates he has discovered on his own.
However, due to Zari's age and physique, he has been unable to explore many parts of the Spirit Realm. Now that you are here, you can help him finish his life long dream! Find and navigate the hidden areas and solve the many riddles and puzzles of the Spirit Realm to complete the map and find the Golden Parchment. What is on that Parchment? Help Zari find out!
The beginning sketch
We wanted to share the first sketch of Zari - so you can see our journey together. As we unveil more parts of Torii: Beyond The Gates we hope to share our work and hope you can see how far the game has grown.
Planned since 2024!
