Hi everyone, 😄
Thank you very much for all the feedback, reports, and suggestions you have continued to share with us.
This update focuses on improving factory cleanup, Box handling, and management information. We have added a new cleanup option for loose ground items, a way to return empty Boxes to the Box Generator, and several improvements for Machine Management, Cold Storage, and Supplies information.
With that in mind, here is what is included in this update.
Main Updates
1. Clear Ground Items
A new Clear Ground Items option has been added to the Pause Menu.
This feature allows players to remove loose production items that are resting on the factory floor. It is intended to help clean up factories where production items may have been left scattered on the ground, such as when machine outputs are not connected or when items have piled up over time.
Before the cleanup is performed, a confirmation dialog will appear.
Please use this option carefully. Once confirmed, the removed ground items cannot be restored, and the cleanup result will be saved.
After the cleanup is completed, a notification will show how many items were removed. The item count is shown after the cleanup is performed, not before.
This feature only removes loose production items on the factory floor.
It does not remove:
Items inside machines
Items moving on conveyors
Items inside Boxes
Boxes stored on racks
Items currently being carried by the player
Items that are still falling, rolling, or being moved
This should make it easier to clean up unwanted loose items without affecting stored Boxes, machine contents, or active conveyor items.
2. Return Empty Boxes to Generator
Empty Boxes can now be returned to the Box Generator.
When carrying an empty Box, aim at the Box Generator and use right-click to return it. On gamepad, this can be done with the gamepad cancel button.
The Box will be removed from the player’s hands, helping keep the factory cleaner without needing to carry empty Boxes elsewhere.
Only empty Boxes can be returned. If the Box still contains any item, it will be rejected with a message explaining that only empty Boxes can be returned.
When aiming at a Box Generator, right-click will return the empty Box instead of throwing it. Outside the Box Generator interaction, right-click will continue working as usual.
The control prompt will also follow the player’s current keybind settings.
Improvements
1. Machine Management List Refresh
The Machine Management list can now refresh which machines appear or disappear from the list.
Previously, the list could become outdated until the player entered focus mode on the Machine Management screen.
With this update:
Newly placed machines can appear in the list.
Sold or repacked machines can be removed from the list.
Machines moved to another area can be checked again based on the active filters.
This helps the Machine Management panel better reflect changes happening in the factory.
Please note that this update refreshes which machines appear or disappear in the list. It does not mean every machine detail is always refreshed from a distance.
Machine details such as name, level, or power status may still require the player to focus on the panel before they are fully refreshed.
2. Cold Storage Rack Box Count Monitor
Cold Storage racks now display a Box count monitor.
This gives players a clearer way to check how many Boxes are stored on each Cold Storage rack.
The count is shown per rack, not as a total for the whole Cold Storage room.
This applies to all Cold Storage rack sizes.
3. Sort by Name Options
Sort options have been expanded for the Cold Storage information panel and the Supplies panel.
Players can now sort the list by name using:
Name Ascending
Name Descending
This should make it easier to find specific items when managing larger storage and supply lists.
Thank you again for your continued support, reports, and feedback.
We will continue reviewing your suggestions and reports while improving factory cleanup, Box handling, and management tools in future updates.
If you encounter any issues or unexpected behavior, please report them through the in-game Bug Report Menu and/or the Steam Discussions so we can investigate further.
See you in the next update! 🥗🚚
