I have come to the decision to go back on a promise I made to myself to not add any content to an existing sector. My biggest regret regarding L-4 is the lack of worthwhile exploration, which is something I was going to work on, but did not have the time. The last 2 weeks of developement I spent overwhelmed with work, college, caught the flu and had a huge cyst in my shoulder become infected.
This is something that has been bothering me since release, and I could see in those that played that some of the biggest dissapointments came from seeing certain key areas be empty. I intended to make them available later on with items obtained in the latter sectors, but fuck that.
I will be working on a patch that will polish the game significantly. I will improve certain visuals, environments, add new special items/lore items to some key areas and most importantly, the sub-reactor will become explorable.
I'm not sure when this content will be available, it will take as much time as it needs. I also want to make clear that this will NOT happen for every sector unless absolutely nescessary, I am making an expection with this case because this arises from circumstances that were almost completely out of my control. Some promises are better off broken to uphold the very thing they were meant to protect.
