First of all, I would like to offer my sincere apologies to everyone who has been waiting for news about Arcana: Card Arena. The game's release has been delayed due to a number of complications in my personal life. As the sole developer of the project, keeping up with regular updates has been more challenging than I anticipated.
Starting in June
You will receive a monthly development log where I will share updates on the game's progress, along with screenshots, development insights, and commentary on its current state.
Current State of the Game
Arcana: Card Arena will launch with 8 playable characters, each featuring their own unique playstyle and mechanics.
The core game is already complete. Spells function as intended, the gameplay loop is fully operational, and Arena Mode—where players build decks from random card selections— is finished. Card collection and saving systems are also in place.
What remains is primarily content creation: additional cards, progression mechanics, and the completion of the remaining characters.
Completed Characters
Ruby
Ruby specializes in spellcasting. Her arsenal includes direct damage spells, freezing effects, transformations, and a wide variety of tricks designed to neutralize major threats. She also has abilities that generate random spells and summon unpredictable minions, creating some truly chaotic and entertaining situations.

Xena

If you enjoy controlling every aspect of a match, Xena is the character for you. Her playstyle revolves around defense and patience, steadily building power through her melee weapons before delivering a devastating finishing blow.

Punky

A creator of gadgets and bizarre inventions, Punky offers a fast-paced playstyle centered around summoning small robots and repeatedly upgrading them with spare parts until they become unstoppable machines.

Mariela

Mariela's strategy revolves around sacrifice for the greater good. She commands numerous minions that trigger effects upon death and can even destroy her own units to activate those effects herself. She also features powerful win-condition mechanics tied to accumulating sacrifices throughout the match.

The Four Remaining Characters
Although the remaining characters have already been designed, I would prefer not to reveal too many details at this stage. Game development often requires balance adjustments and design changes during testing. However, I can share a brief overview of their themes.
Lissy
A character focused on protecting her minions while simultaneously applying direct offensive pressure.
Tori
A unique character who uses Harmony as her core mechanic. She gains Harmony by choosing not to attack her opponent and unleashes its accumulated power later in the game.
Margie
A control-oriented character who wears down opponents through healing and life-steal mechanics.
Enelmar
A character dedicated to magical tricks, deception, and unpredictable spell interactions.
Roadmap
Once the game has been fully polished, the first four characters are completely finished and playable, and both the Arena and progression systems are fully functional, Arcana: Card Arena will enter Early Access at a reduced price.
During 2026
The game will launch in Early Access featuring:
Arena Mode
Skirmish Mode
A progression system built around leagues with multiple difficulty levels
A Battle Pass system
During 2027
Development will continue with:
Regular bug-fixing updates
Smaller content patches
Four major content updates, each introducing one of the four remaining characters
Steam Workshop Support
Following the completion of the core content roadmap, Steam Workshop integration will be introduced, allowing players to create and share their own cards with the community.
Want a card of yourself that deals 999 damage when played?
Want to share a creative idea with other players?
You'll be able to do exactly that.
Custom cards can be organized into complete sets, enabling the community to create their own expansions and transform the game into an entirely new experience.
