If you were in our forums you might have heard about the Sabotage Update coming out next week. Or you might have noticed the additional achievements that are currently live but unobtainable. Well, we are pushing through the Sabotage Update for everyone next week!
What is that?
The update adds new achievements and a new mechanic to the game, as well as a chance to actually win the Finnigan Brothers' elephant!
Basically, one user every so often is chosen as the Saboteur. This player gets an extra option per page, randomly, that allows them to set traps for everyone else. These traps, obviously, result in deaths for all other players except the Saboteur. This also enables the ability to gain the elephant for the Saboteur.
The other players, however, can stop them from getting it. Sprinkled through are extra options for the Victims to counter the Saboteur and end his run. Or, if this fails, after so many deaths, the Saboteur loses his/her role and their chance at the elephant.
The DLC
The Deluxe Upgrade DLC will also be released around the same time. This gives our soundtrack, including alternate tracks that the game will use. Four unique wallpapers for your desktop. And upgrades your game to the Deluxe version, noted by the change in the menu graphic, gives you the chance of being the Saboteur. Oh, and there are four more special achievements as well.
And Beyond?
For all those people who were unhappy about how One Way To Die was structured or those who were curious about what other weird stuff we are doing, our next game Raise Your Own Clone is coming out sometime next month. It is still sitting in Greenlight currently but will see release on Itch.io first.
It is a proper choose-your-own-adventure featuring four separate stories all connected by the cloning machine of Dr. Stansfield. Each with multiple ends and branching paths. One Way To Die players will also get some interesting surprises along with access to a special achievement.
