Steam Faux Pas, DLC, Achievements, And Stuff

So recently we launched the Saboteur update and Deluxe Upgrade DLC. From our end, things didn't go as planned. Something in the package system was set wrong and it didn't work properly for some users. On the other hand, a few people actually go the DLC for free! You win some, you lose some.

A bigger contention point, however, was the extra game content in the DLC pack that also added four new achievements that only DLC owners could get. This caused a bit of a stir and came off as a dick move by us. However, this was not our intention to get people to pay for more achievements. It was intended to add some more fun content for DLC owners and enable trading cards since we didn't want to add microtransactions.

That being said, we agree that it sucks to have to pay for more achievements, so we have moved the Saboteur full update to all players.

What about people who paid for the DLC? Well, two things really. First, we are adding in additional content for DLC owners that does not affect the achievements. It is purely story content. Additional, the DLC makes use of the soundtrack itself. And we will be adding some more goodies into the DLC pack over the coming week. We won't get into details in case one of them fails.

If you did purchase the DLC and now feel slighted, we apologize. This shouldn't have launched the way it did. Please feel free to contact Steam Support for a refund and let them know we are backing it. We will also be in contact with them to hammer out the situation for anyone who wants to refund their DLC if they bought it just for achievements.

Lastly, the push to 3.1.0 should fix the issue with the Saboteur being stuck in place indefinitely. No fun if everyone doesn't get a go at adding traps for everyone else.
