We are now rolling out the v2.1.0 update to Linux and Windows systems. Sadly this does not include Windows 32 as the crashing issue has not been solved yet; more on that below. This update also sets up some stuff for the upcoming Deluxe Upgrade DLC.
For Linux and Windows 64, the following fixes and additions have been applied:
- Added: libsteam_api.so into Linux branch to fix some crashes
- Fixed: launch issue with Windows 32-bit (we think)
- Fixed: achievements firing while in game and not at the main menu
- Fixed: path issue with save files for Windows
- Fixed: missing headcrab death text
- Fixed: Steam usernames not moving over to CoaguCo's server for leaderboards
- Fixed: weird issue with the leaderboards where two columns were swapped
- Fixed: unique death counter (everyone got free achievements!)
- Fixed: small grammar issues
Please let us know if you experience any additional issues or if the above fixes do not seem to work. With the exception of fix #2, the Windows 32-bit bug that causes CTD. We think it can be fixed by installing the Visual C++ Redistributable but have not gotten very good feedback about this fix, although it does fix the problem on our test system. We are making the fix for Windows 32 our priority now.
After that we will finish work on the Deluxe Upgrade DLC which adds the soundtrack with alternate tracks the game will use, four wallpapers which you might use, and new content called "Sabotage". We are testing it right now but it should give one player the ability to sabotage the rest. More details on that later.
Please let us know how the patch works. If you are a Windows 32-bit user who hasn't experienced crashes, we'd like to know more! If you are a Windows 32-bit user who installed the Visual C++ 2015 and that worked, we'd also like to know! Cheers.
