Hey guys,
For those of those who have the black screen on startup issue I believe I have found a solution for those of you affected. I actually found the solution in a Hyper Light Drifter steam community discussion, some users were having similar problems in Hyper Light Drifter and it should fix the problem for you guys as well.
Hyper Light Drifter is a game that was also made in GameMaker: Studio and this solution has helped people having the same problem with Shoppy Mart.
Now here's the important part of the post:
1. options.ini tweaks: Open options.ini located in your game's install directory and change "CreateTexturesOnDemand=0" to "CreateTexturesOnDemand=1" You can also try changing "AlternateSyncMethod=1" to "AlternateSyncMethod=0" 2. Make sure graphics drivers are up to date 3. Disable any anti-virus software you have running 4. If you are on a laptop with integrated/discrete combo make sure the discrete card is used 5. Post your system information (Steam->Help->System Information)
