Dashing and Multiplayer Progress

Dashing in action.

Here are the full mechanics: you can only dash once per second, and the dash will give you a slight speed boost, but you will have to commit to the direction you chose. If you stand still and press the dash button (default Spacebar or RB on Xbox controllers), you will dash toward your cursor. Otherwise, you dash in the direction you are currently walking in.

As you can see, enemies like the Sand Dweller get similar dash mechanics, but if they happen to dash into you, they will bounce away and not deal contact damage. They only bounce once, so it may be a bit tight when multiplayer comes around.

Speaking of multiplayer, Local Multiplayer is currently being worked on for v0.9.2, but it will not be available until the update after! Lots of the logic involving the player has to be refactored, not to mention that the controls have to be redone. Even then, there might be a couple of bugs when it does become available, but we hope to have them all found and fixed before final release. I promise it will be lots of fun!
