Command continues to improve tactical loadouts within the Loop. Following a successful hacking attempt which caused a controlled shift in Erebos's quantum state, our scientists have successfully deployed a new weapon class designed for close-quarters engagements, the Shotgun.
Shotguns have now entered circulation across the stations. They offer:
Devastating short-range firepower
Wide spread impact, effective against clustered Hostiles
Integrated kinetic pushback, pushing enemies away on impact and creating breathing room in close encounters
Our scientists estimate that, similar to the Railgun deployment, a portion of conventional weapons have undergone this quantum shift and now manifest as Shotguns.
For Operatives eager to test these systems, field reports indicate that Aetherion 1-7865 contains a Shotgun readily accessible near the starting area.
