Video Update, News and Thank you for soundtrack.

Hey there, it's update time again. A lot going on lately, just barely getting some work in on the project so I thought I'd show you guys some of what's been happening content-wise while I have a minute.

I've decided to do a video update which I'm posting to Youtube so I can showcase the weapons and level design and discuss some things. I'm hoping it will be easier than rendering out all these shitty little gif animations I've done with previous updates. ( Actually. I'll still probably be doing that for my twitter followers anyway ) To learn even more about what's been going on and how I've acquired the games new soundtrack, please read below the video.

Among the many jobs I've been working lately there's one that stands out to me. It was a lot of fun, a lot of work , and extremely important to the future of STLD. Again I apologize for the large gaps in between updates. I myself am not a musician, so the task of acquiring music, and making sure it was the appropriate type for the game was looking a bit intimidating, especially with STLDs ( non existent ) budget. Thankfully my friends at Esperware totally saved my ass. With their musical compositions and my illustrations we've been working together to produce some really awesome stuff.

I had the pleasure of making this poster in trade for musical works from Esperware, it's for their upcoming game Anathema. Which I am now plugging because it totally kicks ass and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Anathema broke its away into the Steam scene not long ago and very soon after achieved Greenlight status. The title took roots with a Castlevania-esq style of gameplay but has since then undergone a big engine revamp. The changes focus on delivering a fast paced and flexible system of gameplay suited for continuous action that is more akin to the likes of Ninja Gaiden. I was lucky enough to play a bit of the latest engine build, and all I can say is I can't wait to take the character they've designed into a boss battle. Super fun.

If you get chance, give these guys a look. Drop by and check out their steam page, or their website here. Or give them a follow on Twitter to keep up with what's going on with the project.

Looking forward to working together with them again in the future, thanks guys.
