I've been struggling to find the issue some PC's have with the Steam Overlay interface causing the game to freeze at the main menu and when activating full screen mode. I have come up with a manual solution for players until I can pin in it down directly with Steam. Basically what you'll be doing is disabling the Steam Overlay for Survivor : The Living Dead. ( do not worry this will not affect time played, and achievement stats )
If you are experiencing this problem simply:
1. Open the Steam Client
2. In the Steam Client menu find Survivor: The Living Dead
3. Right Click Survivor: The Living Dead anywhere
4. Find "Properties" at the bottom of the small menu that appears.
5. Open the "Properties"
6. Find the Check-Box that says "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game"
7. Un-check that box, close the "Properties" and play the game.
I apologize for not recognizing this issue before the game was released for Early Access, I am currently a 1 person team and have difficulty testing on many different windows platforms.
I intend to address this entirely to give all users the ability to play and use the Steam Interface. Thank you for the comments and patience.
