Hi again everyone.
Welcome to all the new players!
A new patch was released over the weekend for the beta Sandbox branch.
--PATCH NOTES--
-Small Bug Fixes + Optimization
-More Neutral Wildlife Added
-Fixed Small Bug Within One Of The Multiple Endings
--END PATCH NOTES--
(WARNING LONG READ)
Now that the Sandbox Branch has been released, and the feedback positive, I'd like to focus back onto the main game "After The End: The Harvest".
After The End: The Harvest should be completely finished by January, and ready for release by late March 2017. I can also now happily announce, that the planet count of the final version of After The End: The Harvest will be 20+, and will operate in a similar fashion as the Sandbox does. Planets vary in size, populations, races and more. Gas Planets + Moons are also included. Most planets exist within Galaxies, but some, solitary, weirder planets, can be found within "Deep Space".
The Sandbox build has introduced many new game play systems which are not present within the release of V0.09u5 on the main branch.
Below is a few small example of how the Sandbox Build differs from the final coming build of ATE: TH:
-The Sandbox Build includes over 30 Monsters/Creatures that can be caught, battled, and evolved. The final version of ATE: TH has 100+.
-The Sandbox currently contains hours and hours of content, but compared to V0.09u5 which has 7 planets,The Sandbox technically only has-
1 Star/Sun
2 Planets
1 Moon
+Space
The currently playable V0.09u5 on the main branch might have more planets, but in comparison to the recently released beta Sandbox branch, the planets in V0.09u5 are quite limited in the amount of towns, and things the player can see and do.
One planet in the Sandbox branch contains almost just as much areas as all of the planets in V0.09u5.
As also mentioned previously in this announcement, the final version of ATE: TH will have over 20+ Planets/moons. all varying in sizes and environmental hazards. It will all work in a very similar fashion as shown/playable within the Sandbox.
(Wow, that was all confusing to explain.)
The Harvest will include just about all of the features from the Sandbox, plus most of the features that have been mentioned in previous announcements.
If I may ask one thing from everyone:
-Please don't leave a negative review based on playing the main branch alone. The latest Sandbox build within the beta branch, which is 7 months newer then V0.09u5, is drastically improved in every way. Please play that versions before making any decisions. If you have any issues launching, please refer to the guide within the forums.
The first official trailer for the final version of After The End: The Harvest will be releasing sometime in December.
An announcement will be posted on Social Media as soon as the trailer goes live.
If you're looking for more info on the final version of ATE: TH, make sure to check out the forums and previous announcements over the last few months for screenshots and info!
My hope with the two playable versions that are available for Early Access players, shows you HOW the game has grown over this last year, and gives you a decent of idea of what you are in store for, when playing the final version.
Oh, also, for those of you who have played the Sandbox branch, some of the decisions you made within the story, and creatures you caught, will continue on into the final version of ATE: TH, and influence your play through.
Thanks guys!
