Hi everyone.
I just wanted to take a moment and say hello to the new players of After The End: The Harvest. I hope you are all enjoying your travels throughout the galaxy. If you run into any issues, please post them in the discussion board so they can be looked into.
Since the launch of V0.08 a lot of things have been changed and updated within the game.
Large content updates have generally been defined as V0.01, V0.02 etc.
Each numbered content update has brought in large-scale changes and additions, but patches have also been released inbetween large numbered updates which have included things like bug fixes and extra add on content.
V0.08 introduced the worlds, and story which you are all currently familiar with.
In versions V0.07 and below, the story structure and space overworld was different and planets worked a little differently. Going from space into a planet, would take you to a seperate overworld map similar to world maps seen in classic Final Fantasy games.
This was changed, and completely redesigned in V0.08. Flying directly into a planet in space, would now take you into the planet directly, with all of the villages exsisting all within one large world similar to games like Fallout.
This has made the overall transition from space and planets feel much more seamless, and given the game a much more open-world feeling design.
V0.08 also introduced the main story line involving the mysterious ancient race known as the Anukai, spacesuit/jump , mouse support, combat arena, crafting, fishing, new weapons/skills, companions, new ships/spaceship blueprints, new locations and much more.
With the launch of large numbered updates, bugs are always a possibility, especially within the development phase.
Thankfully, most of the issues that have been posted as well as more, have been fixed.
I have mentioned in the last couple of announcements that work on V0.09 is progressing, and that I will hopefully be able to release it soon. For those unaware, V0.09 will introduce a whole new galaxy with its own new explorable space overworld and enterable planets, as well as the continuation of the overall main story. I still cant give an exact date on the release, but it will definantely be before the end of the year just in time for the holidays.
