Joy, the legendary Ranger

Few heroes can brag about having seen Alcatta, the lost city of treasures. But those who dared set foot on its stone block pavements and survived, tell legends about the keeper of the ancient city – a stalker whose arrows and traps are made of pure gold.

Once upon a time a child got lost in the ruins of Alcatta. No longer does anybody remember whose child this little girl was, who wandered among destroyed palaces and magical towers that hid countless treasures. No one knows whose door opened at her weeping and who met her in the deserted streets where no human's foot stepped for ages.

People say that the Golden Dragon of Alcatta gave the girl shelter and taught her to hunt. No one could prove it, but 20 years later rumors started to spread about Joy, an unrivalled scout and stalker who would guide travellers through the lost lands. Joy gained fame and made friends with many great heroes, but only those who did not trench on the lost knowledge and Alcatta's treasures, and who kept away from the forbidden city. When crowds of gold seekers flooded the lost lands, Joy returned to the ruins, and the greedy invaders were met with her golden traps and blinding arrows.

Now, when heroes from all over the world come to the ruins of Alcatta, the unrivalled hunter is waiting for them there. Sometimes she can be seen in taverns. Her friends say that Joy punishes only heroes whose greed has no limits. She does not care for gold – she defends the sacred knowledge hidden deep beneath the earth. No one knows whether it's true, because up until now heroes who dared break the taboo and approach the entrances to the forbidden dungeons, saw only flashes of golden arrows right before they were dead.
