Skål!
Welcome to the official Steam community hub for Lost Viking: Somewhere in Byzantine Empire.
I'm Joseph, the solo developer behind this passion project. It means a lot to see you here right at the beginning of our journey.
If you've just stumbled upon this page, Lost Viking is a retro action-RPG set in a fractured alternate history where Norse, Greek, and Egyptian gods vie for dominance over Earth. You are cast into the fallen Byzantine Empire to prove your worth, master hybrid 3rd-person/FPS combat, and cheat death using the legendary Valknut artifact.
🛡️ WHERE IS THE DEMO?
While the Steam page is brand new, the battle has already begun elsewhere!
You can play the free ALPHA DEMO right now on Itch.io.
It features the first few levels, core combat mechanics, and the beginning of the story. The demo will come to Steam later, but for now, Itch is our testing ground.
